• Cash, check and most major credit cards are accepted.

• Many people chose to use their HSA or Flexible Spending dollars to pay for mental health services.

Benefits of Paying Out-of-Pocket:

There are some notable benefits of not using insurance but rather paying out-of-pocket for mental health treatment.  One benefit is increased privacy of information.  Insurance companies require that a diagnosis be provided for service coverage as this demonstrates a medical necessity.  This information becomes part of you or your child's medical record and is less confidential as it travels through the processes/systems of the insurance company.  By paying out-of-pocket, information would be more private.  

 

Secondly, insurance companies often dictate the length and frequency of treatment provided and even the type of treatment provided.  By paying out-of-pocket, you and your therapist determine these goals together and there is much more room for flexibility.

Important Policies:

• Payment is due at time of service.

• Late payments will be subject to an additional fee of $50.00.

• A 24-hour notice of cancelled appointment is required.  You are responsible for full session fee for late cancelled and no-show appointments.
